Henry Edgar Kurima

Henry Edgar Kurima is an early-career economist and impact evaluation specialist affiliated with the Centre for Economic Policy and Development Impact Evaluation (CEPDIME). He holds a master’s degree in economics from Kyambogo University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the same institution. He has over five years of applied experience in field research and programme evaluation across Uganda, including survey implementation in refugee settlements and diverse community contexts.

 

As a Research Associate, Henry has contributed to multiple studies and consultancies, with core strengths in research design, tool development and digitization, field surveys, and supervision, tracer studies, community engagement, and analytical reporting. He has participated in impact evaluations and sector studies such as ecosystem and natural resources governance, UDC strategic plan midterm evaluation, UDB fund impact evaluation in the construction and manufacturing subsector, and USAID-supported annual coffee surveys (2023 - 2024). Henry is proficient in Data Science, big-data analysis with python, R, and machine learning as well as Stata, with growing expertise in impact evaluation and randomized sampling.
