Emmanuel Philemon Wandera, PhD

Dr. Emmanuel Philemon Wandera is the Executive Director, Centre for Economic Policy and Development Impact Evaluation (CEPDIME), a position he has held since 2023.

 

Dr. Wandera also doubles as a Lecturer of Economics at Kyambogo University, where he has taught, supervised, and mentored students at the graduate and undergraduate levels since 2011. He is an accomplished economist, researcher, academic, and development practitioner with over two decades of experience in economic research, policy analysis, and institutional leadership.

 

His expertise lies at the intersection of development economics and policy, particularly on the issues of Labour Market Analysis, youth unemployment, Entrepreneurship, impact evaluations, private sector development, and Economic Policy, with a strong focus on evidence-based research. His blend of academic rigor, analytical expertise, and institutional leadership has established him as a respected contributor to economic research, and policy-oriented decision-making in Uganda.

 

Dr. Wandera holds a PhD in Economics, a Master of Arts in Economic Policy and Planning, and a Bachelor of Arts Economics, all from Makerere University.
